I recently recieved a catalog of kite kits and materials. They sell
Dupont Type #1422 Tyvek in 60 inch width by the yard up to a maximum of 20
yards. The cost per yard is $2.50. The catalog describes Tyvek as being
made of spun-bonded olefin fibers. It goes on to say that it can be glued
with contact cement and taped with filament, Seamstick or ripstop tape;
they recommend using acrylic paint to color it [ it's white].
