I'm just a section hiker - 40 -50 miles a year. I started with a cheap,
borrowed external frame pack. It worked. But after 4 years, I decided tht I
was really was going to keep doing this so I went in search of my very own
pack. I got a Gregory internal frame. I LOVE it.  I couldn't believe how much
lighter my gear felt (and believe me when I say I have it down as much as I
can without a second mortgage to buy titanium!  :)  )
