[at-l] which is warmer



on a trip on Ellesmere island the inuit guides instructed us to do the
following. 
1) wear your underwear, hat,. socks
2) get into a 5 lb down bag, with a nice wool blanket inside
, on top of a mattress- since it was only -40 , they wouldn't let us use the
cariboo sleeping mats, that was for cold weather! 
3) remember to turn the stove off in the tent before you got drowsy or you
would be dead in the morning .

of course since there was 24 hours of sunlight, they served us breakfast for
dinner, and dinner in the morning, so its hard to know if the eskimos were
just fiddling with our heads or what... anyways i was warm the entire trip
except when i had to t.a. d.
