Jeff,

In the Feb. issue of Backpacker Magazine in the weekend wilderness 
section they have an article about hiking in Big Sur. You can search 
their website at www.bpbasecamp.com for further info. I've just moved to 
San Francisco and haven't headed down that way yet, but it's definitely 
on my list. Give me a call when you get to the Bay Area, and I'll buy 
you a drink and pick your brain for trail info.
