Teenagers Survive In Subzero Weather
(BETHEL) -- Three teenagers from Auburn are recovering from frostbite
after a hiking trip in the Mahoosuc (ma-HOO- sick) Mountains of western
Maine. The teens set out for the Appalachian Trail on Sunday but lost
their way when snow covered their tracks. They were rescued safely
yesterday afternoon after a pilot spotted a manmade mark in the snow.
Rescuers say overnight temperatures dipped as low as 15 below zero. The
teens built a fire and huddled together to stay warm
