[at-l] turkey hike

hello all,

       Getting ready for my Turkey Day hike.  This will be my first hike
longer than a weekend (5 days) and my first cold weather hike (PA AT).  Very
excited, but also anxious about carrying all that extra weight.  My capilene
clothing worked wonderful in temperatures close to 100 degrees last summer,
am hoping to have the same compliment to give Patagonia after testing
longjohns, gloves, and socks in wintry weather.  I decided for financial
reasons to use Supplex as outerwear instead of Goretex.  Will let you know
how this works too.  Maybe see you on the trail this weekend.  If not, have a
wonderful Thanksgiving.
