I bought one at Neels Gap and it didn't make it to Fontana Dam.
The manufacturer did replace it in for me in a mail drop in Hot Springs.
That one lasted until Hanover, where I sent it home to save weight.
I wouldn't rely on one as my only water container. I will always carry a lexan Nalgene - something that won't leak in my sleeping bag when I need a hot water bottle.
