Dwayne,
     I've carried 50 pounds before.  I don't care what backpack you have,
there is no way to carry 50 pounds comfortably.
     Being serious for a second (and that's about as long as I can be
serious).  Stay as far away from Jansport as you can.  My son and I got
Jansport packs when we started hiking about 18 months ago.  There great for a
day or two, but are very bad for long distance hiking.
