Hello!

You mean I'm supposed to tell my family I am going somewhere?  ;)

Like several other folks who have replied, I too have kids and a husband to take 
care of and a good job but, if I waited around until the time was exactly right 
to go, I would probably never get to go.  I have been wanting to hike the trail 
since '93 and I think in my case I was waiting for someone to give me permission 
to do it.

I have to agree with the others that it might be a good time for you to take the 
plunge!
