Re: [at-l] Clean Water

Sorry about this, computer is acting up, Cryptosporium is also considered a
Protozoa, Please note as of late there is no treatment for this as of this
day other than rehydration. Also note Crypto is lethal to individuals with
weakened immune systems.

The 2nd water pathogen is Bacteria,
Smaller in size than Protozoa at about .2 to 10 microns. More difficult to
remove from water. Chemical disinfection works well and also can be filtered
out of water. (be sure to check to see down to what size, the filter you
choose functions.) Examples of Bacteria, would be Cholera,
Typhoid,Salmonella, E.Coli and Shigella.

Lastly, are Viruses, the smallest of the three and measuring in at about .02
-.085 microns. They are increasing concern in world wide supplies. Please
note Viruses are too small to be filtered out. Chemical disinfection works
well, as do purifiers.
Examples including Hepatitus A, Poliovirus, Rotavirus and Norwalk.

My advice to anyone, do not consider filtration as an accesory, but part of
your first aid/preparedness equipment.
