You probably will only make it to Rainbow Springs in 10 days. That is
about 100 miles, 10 miles a day. You can also get food at the Blueberry
Patch. I think that is Dicks Creek. I would probably take more snack
food like peanut butter crackers, snickers, granola bars, etc. It will
take you to 3 - 4 days to get to Neels Gap so you can resupply there.
Are you doing the approach trail from Amicalola Falls? That is another
day in itself. Good luck! I have been hiking with my 10 year old son but
so far we just do day hikes. We are doing 30 miles in three days in
