Hiyall..
My best to Jan Nan! I'm sure we are all glad she's recovering!
What a story, full of folks that went the extra mile and more to
help a fellow hiker. Gives you a really great feeling!
But, and I'm not criticizing, but I can feel the pain she must have
endured being carried and transfered from piggyback to piggyback.
I was never a boyscout<G>, but have seen references to how to
fashion a litter or a traverse(?) from branches and a sleeping bag.
Does this really work? I mean it looks like it would, but I'd hate to
waste time, in a similar situation, trying this in vain. Most hikers
have cord of some sort and a wire saw doesn't weigh much at all...
Anyone have any experience with this?
