[at-l] pooom on K

hi all -
for those concerned about pooom:
her mom expected pooom to summit the big K yesterday (thursday)!
 (unfortunately, i know little more than that, other than she'll be headed
home from there via nh to ny.)  but this should be the ultimate news for any
and all thru hikers!!
as for myself, i'm headed out to maine next week to try the last 230 miles or
so from rt 17 near rangeley.  it isn't the 1000 i had hoped for, but will
total about 600 for the season.  not too bad for a
short job.

ps.  more miles to look forward to next season.  or maybe even a few strung
together during this fall?  ny or ma or nj - who knows?  this is turning out
to be catch as catch can.
