[at-l] Homemade Alcohol Stove

Instead of the tuna can receptacle you might want to try this. The army
troops in England are issued small tins of wood alcohol. It is a
reusable tin that has a resealable lid, much like a paint can lid. You
need a flat blade screwdriver to open it.

It holds 1.5 oz, so no need for an extra fuel bottle on short hikes. It
measures 2 1/2 in. dia. by 1 1/8 in; about the size of a small tuna can.
Once you have used up the wood alcohol contents, you can refill it with
the metheylated spirits. A new, full unit (with fuel) weighs 3 ozs. It
should burn for 30 to 45 minutes. It is painted olive drab of course.

You can order these from Elite Force at 800-948-0754, item #CGG145 for
$3.50 US.
