[at-l] Re: Thru-hikers in Bland, VA

I took seven scouts on a day hike Friday the 13th and we ran into the
following thru-hikers: Ivan Odor, Maine Mama, and Solo. All of them
seemed to be doing well and very friendly. They had full packs because
they were going to resupply in Pearisburg. The mountain laurel,
rhododendrons, and azalea trees were all blooming. The trail was in
excellent condition and the kids all had fun. For most of them it was
their first hike on the A.T. There was very little whining and
complaining. We then camped out at Camp Roland and cooked silver turtles
