Repeater change

Hello,

	The Dexter Maine repeater, 147.30 has been discontinued. It shut
down appox. 3 weeks ago. The story I hear is that the owner (I think its
W1GEE) visited the site and determined that repairs were to costly. He
has moved the machine to his house to work on and will not be returning
it. It might be installed at his location.

  	This is too bad as we in this area depended on this machine
like most people depend on electricity. We have offered to help defray
costs in the past but as I understand, he refused, probably for the same
reasons I would have. The owner should be thanked as he provided this to
us at no cost and bore all expenses.

	I'm glad to find this information you put out as I would some day
like to make the trip, right now its in little bits and pieces on
weekends and such. Knowing the repeater locations is helpful.

	There is the Charleston repeater at 147.15+ Tone 100, but the
coverage is not as great as 147.30 had. I'm not sure if this information
is helpful or not.
