Oh boy...this is going to be one hell of a thread. Do you have any idea how
many uses there are out there for duct tape?????? One could write a book
(and probably make tons of $$$ -- hey that was MY idea...if you do it, I
better get a cut!!) about the many uses for duct tape. I can just imagine
my inbox the next week with 40 messages with the subject line: "[at-l]
another use for duct tape" :)

But, while we're on the subject, when I was in college I started a women's
rugby team. We received no funding or support from the university (back in
the days before Title IX was enforced) so we had to build our own field,
etc. Our goal posts were made of old PVC pipe we found behind a factory
and...you guessed it....duct tape. They lasted us 2 years -- and that was
in Oswego, NY, where the trees grow sideways because of the constant Lake
Effect wind.

So the moral of the story is -- carry duct tape. You never know when you
might need to mend a shoe, fix a tent pole, or...build a goalpost...

:) God, I need to get out and hike!
