Re: [at-l] Re:sleeping bag

going on IMHO, Prima-Loft is the best synthetic insulation there is.
There are two types, the first (often called PL1) and PL2, PL2 is cheaper
and also hydrophobic, but PL1 is practically waterproof. I heard a rep
from a sleeping bag company (who shall remain nameless) say that the
difference was that in a PL1 bag in a downpour, the water would sit on top
of the bag and be shedded. In a PL2 bag it would go thru, but not soak
the insulation (I think it is coated with silicon or something). They are
both very compressable (PL1 slightly more, I think) and loft up well
again.

I have a combo Lite-Loft/Primaloft bag from Marmot, so I suppose it would
only suck half-way ;) ?
