[at-l] re: Need A.T. info on Mt. Everett (Mass,)



there is a picnic area/park that the AT passes thru about a mile north of
everett.  i don't believe you can drive further up the road than this.  the
AT, however, is well marked, and you can hike up to everett from here.  i
believe this is the quickest way up.  unfortunately, i don't remember the
name of the park, nor where the road comes from, but a good bet would be
from the main road that parallels the ridgecrest on the east.  you should
be able to locate the park on the AT map.

this is a beautiful hike.  bear rock falls, sages ravine, bear mtn and
lions head are all on the AT, providing great views/scenery.
