Except that the dirty, stinking and perhaps distorted hiker does not shake
water upon all, does not routinely tread upon gear, bags, pads and the like,
and, despite does ot scare (or worse) the other hikers.  But then again,
still have not encountered a pooch with a pack but with noisy Leki's to save
its back.
