Re: [at-l] ONE sports/delam

Canada - just curious - did you first apply a waterproofing treatment to
your Moraines, straight from the box? I have a hunch that the manner in
which leather naturally dries out over time (especially without regular
re-apps) could be responsible for some of these delam problems, what with
the change in shape of a decomposing leather upper being at odds with the
rubber of the rand and outsole. Boots also have a way of hanging around
in storage rooms and on display shelves in dry, recycled-air environments
for quite a time prior to purchase. A few untreated submerges under
springtime AT rain, mud, and freeze/thaw cycles, and any boot stands a
good chance of "returning to the earth" the way a dead cow in Virginia
pastureland might.
