[at-l] Trail Days....

Okay all, I've got another question.  It may be kind of strange,
but I'm asking anyway.

For those of you who've been to Trail Days before, what is it like?
I've got a friend who's interested in hiking with me as I head 
into Damascus, and he was asking about it.

Is it the kind of event that would only appeal to thru-hikers?
Or would it be fun for a general audience.  From what I've 
heard it sounds like a festive atmosphere, but is there anything
I could use to compare it to.  Town festival, company picnic, Shriner's
convention, the parking lot at a Grateful Dead show, Scientologist
retreat, etc.  (no insult to Scientologists or Shriners intended).
