Phil,
The correct answer is both. People have different metabolic rates. =
Adding a good base can add a few degrees warmth to a bag for cold =
nights. But make sure whatever you wear is not constricting. Tight =
cloths warn to bed will reduce blood flow and cause you to feel colder. =
So no clothes is better than tight ones. Also eating a candy bar before =
going to bed helps some people sleep warmer. If you are cold and don't =
like being encased in a mummy, wear a hat. Most of your heat loss will =
be through your head.
