[at-l] New Toy!

Hey everyone,
I finally got my compression sack from REI yesterday! I
purchased the Granite Gear bag for my extra-long Cat's Meow and it worked
great. Must have gone down at least 25%. Nice thing for saving space on
an internal.
Now all I have to do is get my head lamp fixed and I will be gear
ready for the trail. And you are wondering, what could have happened to
my headlamp? My dog thought the bungee type stuff for it would make a
great chew toy. Nothing some sewing can't handle though.

With my REI dividend, I am going to get a Platapus bag or two for
carrying extra water. The idea I have for silty water is to put in the
Nalgene let it settle, then filter it to the bag. Thus avoiding the silt
that would help clog the filter.
