[at-l] The Last Post

My final post, as I'll be leaving our most favoured island soon:

Good night, good night! parting is such sweet sorrow,
That I shall say good night till it be morrow.

(Juliet)

This one is for Margaret (an observer) in Maine:

But, soft! what light through yonder window breaks?
It is the east, and Juliet is the sun!

(Romeo)

Both from Romeo and Juliet (2.2 and [Shakespeare])

'The time has come,' the Walrus said,
'To talk of many things:
Of shoes-and ships-and sealing wax-
Of cabbages-and-kings-
And why the sea is boiling hot-
And whether pigs have wings.'

The Walrus and the Carpenter (Lewis Carroll [1832-1898])

How many ages hence
Shall this our lofty scene be acted over
In states unborn and accents yet unknown!

Cassius 3.1 (Julius Caesar [Shakespeare])

Don't judge a man by his looks,
or a Parson by his books.

(old saying in Western Newfoundland)

Welcome, O life! I go to encounter for the millionth time
the reality of experience and to forge in the smithy of my
soul the uncreated conscience of my race.

James Joyce (A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man)

Let us be lovers, we'll marry our fortunes together
I've got some real estate here in my bag....
So we bought a pack of cigarettes, and Mish's Wagon pies
and walked off to look for America.

America (Paul Simon 1968)

Goodbye beautiful AT people...God bless you All.
