Some clubs, the Roanoke A.T. Club for one, try to keep a copy of all
registers. Their efforts are sometimes hindered by registers being burned to
start fires or removed, but for some shelters along the trail, there is a
good archive in place. It would be interesting to look at how entries have
changed over time.
