[at-l] poem

Classification:
Prologue:
Epilogue:

Well, a cold and a crashed mail server has kept me from sending any email for
the last few days, but i wanted to share a poem that i recently wrote for my
mother that conveys my feelings on backpacking. Thanks also to everyone else
who has shared their poetry...... it has been a very enjoyable thread to
follow.

A Filled Abyss
-----------------------

The vista's view
An Autumn hue
Tell it on the mountain

The fir wind-bent
The wildflower's scent
Tell it on the mountain

The root rock stair
The virgin air
Tell it on the mountain

Beneath the stars
The moons and Mars
Tell it on the mountain

Hear Nature's toast
With John Muir's ghost
Tell it on the mountain

Forgotten time
Response sublime
Tell it on the mountain

At hiking pace
Reject the race
Tell it on the mountain

Embrace the bliss
A filled abyss
Tell it on the mountain

Thanks for letting me share.
