Mountain bikes on the AT
All of the commentary about dogs on the Trail caused me to wonder about what
seems to me to be a new and growing problem on the Trail: mountain bikers.
Now I personally like to cycle (road bike) and I'm looking forward to trying
some mountain biking on designated trails, but I have been surprised to see
how many mountain bikers there are on the AT.
Anybody know of an effective way to discourage this without escalating it
into a bigger problem?
