Standing Indian and water near the summit

The streams are low in this region now, but no lower than usual for mid-August.
The spring you asked about may not be flowing right at the normal springhead,
but you can always find water there by going farther downhill following the
drainage.  Usually you only have to go maybe 50 yards or less downhill to find
a sufficient flow at that particular spring.
