disposable contact lenses

This topic has already been partially discussed, but I wanted to ask some
particular questions:

For those who wore disposable contact lenses (the kind you throw away after
a week or two) on a thru/section hike:

1)  How did you handle resupplies of the lenses--i.e. include them in
weekly maildrops, several lens packs with less frequent maildrops, buy any
along the way, etc.
2)  How much saline solution/rewetting drops did you carry at one time, etc.
3)  Ever run into any problems out on the trail with disposibles (eye
irritations, losing contact in eye (this happens to me far more often than
losing a contact outside the eye), visit an eye doctor along the way,
etc.)?
