Either you didn't get my last message, or you are long overdue...
How was your hike, are you planning on posting your log.? Is the trail in
reasonable condition.? I've been in contact with the GMC, got some info. I
did the AT in 94, so I have a general feel for the southern part of the LT.
We lived in Burlington from 69 to 78, I've hiked the Mansfield area and
Camels Hump (even did the trek from Camels Hump to the Chin). Since we left
VT I've wanted to thru-hike the LT, so now's my turn...
I'll be hitting the LT on the 8th of Sept, starting at Journeys End,
proceeding to MP 592, then south... I plan on completion Oct 5th (no power
hiking for me)... I'll be shuttling my car south as I go... My wife will
join me near Manchester (gap at VT11 & 30)... My son and Daughter-in-law
(from CT) will be my primary support. I hope to be following some of the
"Color" south.
