RE: MSR Whisperlite-Double Boiler?
I haven't tried a double boiler but would like to hear of your future
experience
The best simmer solution that I've come upon is the use of an old asbestos
heat pad like we used to use over a Bunsen burner in chem lab in high
school or college - but they are very hard to come by, and I don't know if
the asbestos poses any risk (I think not since it's not "aerosolized").
The simmer plates that you can by from Campmor and elsewhere don't do much
for me.
