That being said, I went to a local shop and tried on a terraplane. An
understatement to say 'nice pack'. I inquired about renting one and
got a rather strange look from the salesman. :( Seems they only rent
externals at that shop, but it's the only place in town that carries
the dana. Guess I'll have to start looking out-of-town to try to rent
Fortunately we (my wife and I) have a year or so before we have to
plunk down the serious $ for a pack. There are other shops in town
that rent several models of internals and externals for comparison.
Problem is, now I have the dana as a point of reference...
