I have a zip stove (the Sierra model) which we have used on short trips with no problems. It's fun to use and works fine in the rain. When we thru-hiked the A.T. a fellow thru-hiker bought one in Virginia, sent his Svea home and used the little wood-burning zip for the rest of his thru-hike with lots of praise and no complaints. -Frank Logue
