Perhaps stories should be dated so people are not mislead. The story
about Kent, CT to NY 17 is quite dated and perhaps a bit fictional,
combining several trips. It has been a very long time since the 10
cent toll on the Bear Mt. Bridge. I am pretty sure its demise
predates the Telephone Pioneers Shelter.
Unfortunately Graymoor is not open to hikers anymore, but it may
reopen, pending repairs to the old friary and finding hosts for the
hikers. Meanwhile the ballfield has a campsite with water and a picnic
pavilion (very successful this year and available next year if better
arrangements don't happen in time.) Talk to ALDHA if you want to help
things happen faster.
Good story anyway.
