Hi to all -- To introduce myself, I've hiked (in day and weekend hikes) from Springer to Fontana. Next year I hope to put a dent in the sections between Davenport Gap and Damascus. Would be interested in hearing about experiences in the Smokies. I've shied away from that stretch because of crowds and lack of enthusiasm about staying in shelters. Grace
