I use a product called Sport-Wash. It's sold in Wal-Mart, sometimes in the camping department and sometimes in the hunting and fishing gear department. It's sometimes hard to find, but it comes in a white bottle with a bright orange label. You can also sometimes find it in outdoor stores and outfitters, but they charge quite a bit more for it.

Hi all--I was wondering what sort of cheap soap I could use for down and
synthetics. Stuff like Nikwax's Tech-Wash is a little pricey and hard to
find and I'd like to find a cheap, functional alternative. Back in the day,
I used plain detergent in a really watered down state. I switched to Dr.
Bronner's but, after using it on my skin, I have to think that it's anything
but mild.
As always, thanks for the great advice!
