[at-l] Why I Like Hikers (One Reason)

Why do I like hikers?  Gosh... there isn't enough time in the world to get
it all down.  But, I will say this.....

In the hiking community, I am accepted for who I am... not what someone else
wants me to be.  I'm not forced into a mold that doesn't fit...I'm allowed
to make my own mold and cherished for its uniqueness.  I am welcomed with
open arms and loved for what I bring to the table... and I'm not talking
about the gravy and biscuits either.  LOL

For such a diverse group... we do have a common bond... the love of the
hike... nothing else matters.  (insert background music of Metallica's
Nothing Else Matters)

So, to all of you out there that have become so very dear to me, let me
first thank you for letting me be me, and then... let me thank you for your
friendship, understanding, and support.  Without all of you, I don't think I
would have found myself again.

Raise a glass tonight for all the hikers out there....
