[at-l] whats a cheaper thru hike....



Welcome to the list.

You have made a wise decision on chosing the AT-L as one of your 
resources. 

Your travel to the PCT or CDT would cost, so it's apparent to me that 
hiking the AT might save you in that aspect.  Attending Rucks will help
