The obit mentioned that he was an AT 6,000 miler. I met him on the trail in
'92 in Tenn. I thought you all would like to know that in '92-'93 he did a
yo-yo (with some time off in Jan-Feb for bad weather I think). I believe his
other thru-hike was several years before his '92 hike, but I don't know the
year. He was one on the last one's to sign the register at RPH in '92,
heading south at Thanksgiving. I didn't know him well, but a yo-yo hike
really impresses me...
