>                      I am still plogging along on the AT. Tonight i am in Farnklin, NC Thanks to Trail angel and bussiness man Ronnie Haven. Free ride to and from town and $32. nice room in one of his motels. Just left the Western Sizzler, buffet and unlimited sirloin steak. Man am I stuffed. I staye dat the NOC base camp night before last and at Cold Spring shelter last night. I got about 1/2 inch of slushy snow last night. I planned to skip Franklin, didnt know about the free shuttles. Ronnie is setting up a web site to list services here.
>      I hope my pack makes it. It has several splits, some i have sewn up. Its been a good one, just over loaded it. I like the 10 oz gortex bivi from Mont Bell (7 oz in reg. size).
