[at-l] A moment of silence
I'll be driving up to Charleston, SC, for 4 days over this weekend. We're staying in a cabin at a lake about 45 minutes outside of Charleston and hope to do a little hiking along with playing tourists.
Tomorrow, on the way up, we'll look for a park and stop to fix my favorite backpacking meal, which I call Thanksgiving in a pot:
stovetop stuffing, craisins, 6 oz can of turkey (ok, its an indulgence if you have to carry it). If the trip is short, I've been know to throw in a tiny can of peas too. Top it off with a Little Debbie type pecan pie.
At home I always fix stuffing/dressing from scratch, but hiking is a different thing....

I don't know about you...but use Stovetop Stuffing
quite a bit for my backpacking meals. And, here it is
almost Thanksgiving, too.
The inventor of Stovetop Stuffing died today.
