[at-l] And now some AT hiking photos

(apologize if this e-mail is a dupe..had a hiccup with
yahoo. )

Finally completed a project I have been workin on:
Taking my AT photos out of the powerpoint slide
show..and just having them shown normally. Easier to
look at online!

The same caveats about my photos still apply. From my
website:

************
A brief word about my AT slide show. My camera died
out on me in the Smokies, a mere 170 miles into my
trip. The year I thru-hiked was an El Nino year. This
wet weather was not the best for taking care of a
camera! Had to substitute a disposable cameras that
did not give as good a picture as later cameras I
owned. And though I am not an expert photographer by
any means, my skills have improved since 1998. As
such, while my AT slide show is adequate, it is not as
good as later photo efforts.

Made the decision to include photos that were not
from my AT thru-hike. Some of the Vermont and New
Hampshire pictures are from trips I took to those
states in 1996,1997, and 1999. I felt they were of
better quality than some my actual AT thru-hike
pictures and they convey what I saw on the AT in
those states. Also, after my hike, some of my trail
friends sent me pictures they took. I have included
those pictures as well.

Having said all this, the pictures do give a nice feel
for what a thru-hike is all about (and some actually
did come out well).

See my big back from 1998! Look at the wooden hicking
stick! See the watermelon!

At the very least..you can get your AT fix for the
day.

Enjoy..or not. :)
