### Victor! A fellow '79-er, eh? I passed through Harpers Ferry
two Sundays ago and looked up some pictures and such, and was
reminded of pictures in my own album...

I THINK I remember you -- might even have a clear-ish picture of
you at Hot Springs or Damascus. I started April 8th with Ralph
Reiss, Gary Owens (cousin to Branley O. of early 66 day fame)
and "Otel" Ortel and the Perham(sp?) Bro.s of West Paris, Maine.
Hit Hot Springs on May 1, and got stuck (waiting on $$$) for 10
days. Hit Damascus and had my toe operated on, and was stuck for
5 days there -- left Memorial Day weekend to go over Rogers in a
blizzard. This sound familiar? I THINK you (and a crew, POSSIBLY
including Nick ________ (not Gelesko of As Far As The Eyes Can
See fame) might have passed me crying into my granola in Hot
Springs.

Or maybe I might have caught up with you in Gorham? Don't
remember the date (I finished September 11), but Ann/Al Weed
were there, and another really nice hiker with a huge brown
beard who's name I just saw too and am ashamed I don't
re-remember .... Follow that?

And I caught up with the JanSport Hilton Trio leaving Monson --
hadn't seen/heard from them since Hot Springs, but I understand
they made it.

Or maybe it was Waynesboro.....
