[at-l] Stove question

evening all,
i could search the archive or browse whiteblaze.net,
but figured i'd just ask.

white gas or butane?

also, what are these pepsi/coke can stoves that burn
alcohol? damn, i'm a librarian, i'll look that one up.

i was at two stores in maine last weekend. guy at
beans liked the pocketrocket and said that carrying
two cans of fuel was common. woman at the store in
portland also like the pocketrocket but said she'd
much rather take gas on a long distance hike.
i'm thinking about weight, pack space, availability of
fuel, and cost of fuel. 

thanks for any advice. it's all been good so far.
