[at-l] Panther Crossing (OT)

                  This morning I drove on a new highway through panther 
habitat with signs saying "caution panther crossing". The new highway was strewn 
with dozens of corporate development signs for the new frontage. 5 years ago I 
read in our local paper that this area was slated for special concern for 
"smart growth". Guess they forgot. Anyway, in my mind the panther crossing sign 
next to rows of developer's plaques pretty much embodies the insanity of our 
society...
