### I THINK this is the heart of your well-writ rant:

### But your rant is mis-directed.

### The point of "We are all beneficiaries of our own choices"
was to recognize that, along with the vagaries and vissitudes of
everyday life -- whether the arbitrariness of civilization or
the capriciousness of wilderness -- we also have a
responsibility to learn as much as possible as quickly as
possible, to improve our condition and progress on whatever path
we deem most desired in our lives. To abuse two analogies, "Shit
happens -- Make Lemonade." To quote Paul Simon, "Breakdowns come
and breakdowns go -- what are you going to do about it, that's
what I want to know." I try (TRY) to make a habit to learn from
my mistakes, AND to learn from my successes. It IS all "result"
-- but what are you going to do with it? Whether the outcome be
good or ill, it's best to make use of it. I choose to benefit
from my choices.
