[at-l] A Different Ethical Dilemma...

I have a somewhat related question. I've read some thru-hikers who
say that a true hike starts in Amicola State Falls, not at the
Springer Terminus (thus opening the argument for taking on the first 8
miles rather then starting at hwy 42, hiking backward, then forwards
again). I am planning on starting at at the falls but with that in
mind that puts me at -8 miles for the first day.

I guess what I am asking is those that have thru hiked did you feel
that starting in Amicola added something to your hike either tangible
or intangible?
