          Jim wrote a great piece defining the hike experience of 
'disconnectedness'. But he failed to properly connect it to the AT and it's designed 
purpose. I assure you Jim is directly operating under that premise. So, while he 
did a good job of defining disconnectedness and its Trail results, he failed to 
put it into useful perspective via the AT. Since this list is based on the 
AT, it is only right that the full perspective be made clear. When most Trail 
users are blowing-off the Trail's formal definition, to not put these ideas in 
their proper AT context is to fail their real purpose...
