I have met a number of Pop Pops on the trail, over the years.  Of those who I 
knew/remember the names & hometowns none were from GA.

There was a Pop Pop thruhiking the AT a couple years ago -- 2001, if I 
remember correctly.

I think his name was Mike Higgins from Charlotte NC.  I think I heard he 
completed.

Greetings,

I am trying to locate a gentleman from I believe Georgia with the handle 
"Pop-Pop". He was hiking the PCT in Southern california this spring (2005). He 
was at the Taquitz Inn in Idyllwild mid-May and he and I left within hours of 
each other via Black Mountain Road on the 16th. I heard he left the trail a 
few days later near Cabazon due to injury.

If he is on this list or if anybody knows how to contact him I would 
appreciate hearing what you know.
